My side of the story:

Where to begin... Well I met Cori in a freshman computers class that we both just so happen to put off till our senior year. We sat on opposite ends of the classroom until one day the teacher sat me next to the prettiest girl in the room. We usually spent most of the class talking and playing solitaire. Solitaire was our game. It wasn't hard to see that she was a lot different then then most the girls in our school. She was genuinely sweet, funny, and beautiful. It didn't take long for me to realize that I needed to ask this girl to prom before someone beats me to it. I asked her to Waffle House and then asked her to prom, I like to think of that as our first date. End of senior year came we though she would be moving down to College Station with her folks, but she ended up moving in with her sister Jenny. That decision had nothing to do with me, I'm pretty sure her parents didn't buy that for to long. Cori moved with Jenny to Saginaw, a horrible 45 minutes away from Weatherford. It sucked but I worked in Ft. Worth so it wasn't that bad. Then Cori ended up moving to Denton which sucked even more because it was an hour away. You may think that that isn't to far from Denton, well it is google it. Cori went to UNT and I was still at home. I finally moved to Denton in August of this year it took forever but I made the move. Things got a little tough on us right before the move but the Lord helped us through it and I'm thankful everyday that He did.

I flew to Washington for Christmas to visit my family and friends and ended up making a huge decision while I was up there. My mom and I talked through the idea of me proposing. She came with me to look at rings one day and I was getting more and more serious about the idea every time I thought about it. Some of the best people in the world wanted to go to Hot Pot and Sushi for dinner. I was waiting for a table with David and left him to guard the fort while I went to Kays right next door. I was looking around had my credit checked and found the ring I was pretty sure about around the time every one got to the restaurant. As we were all sitting around eating I told the guys what was going on in my head  and what I was thinking about doing. They were super excited. The day before I left Washington I headed back to Kays with my mom so she could see the ring made my purchase, thanks again Oregon for not having sales tax. The night before I left Andrew and Jon were grilling me with questions preparing me for the big talk with her folks. It was tough but I was ready for any question.

I called Cori's folks while waiting in the airport to ask if I could drive down and talk with them when I got back. Cori's mom asked if she should be worried I told her not at all and that she should be happy. When I got back into Texas I told Cori that I had to go to Weatherford and Ft. Worth and run some errands and prepare something for her birthday which was the following day. She fell for it and after we ate I booked it down to College Station. When I got to their house we sat on the couch and talked a while and then I told them why I was there. Her dad who was sitting on the other couch started saying "well you've been hangin around and we are starting to get used to ya" and her mom kinda stopped him and said that I had there blessing. I couldn't believe it. Jon and Andrew had me to prepared. Her folks gave me their blessing and I still hadn't even said half of what I was wanting to say. It was a huge relief. We sat around a little while longer talking but I had to leave cause I told Cori I was going to be back at midnight for her birthday.  Her folks gave me a Dr. Pepper and I was out the door. I made it 15 minutes after midnight and she didnt expect a thing.

We got all gussied up for dinner the next day. I took her to The Cheese Cake Factory and it was incredible. After dinner there wasn't anything really on the agenda for the night. I told her I had a cool picture idea and wanted to take one since we were both dressed up. We went to the parking garage that we always parked at when we went out downtown or I parked at when I visited her at work and also the parking lot were we had a very important talk and I knew everything was going to be O.K. when we ran into a rough patch our relationship I talked about earlier. I set my camera up set the timer once I had everything perfect and took a few shots. Once I had my timing down on the last shot I knelt down asked her to marry me and also let her know that I asked her folks for their blessing (I acted like I was proposing two different times as a joke a couple months back so I had to make sure she knew I was serious). She said yes and right then and there she made me the happiest man in the world.

It didn't take me long into this relationship to realize that this was the women I wanted to marry. She is everything I could ever hope for and then even some more. The Lord really blessed me and I thank God she is in my life and always will be.

Do to the lack of internet Cori hasn't had the chance to add her part of the story. It will be up soon.
