Jon's Confirmation

Jon's confirmation was the day I flew in. I called up David Carroll to Come with me, one because we are friends, two so we could hang and skate before hand, and 3 because I didn't know what to expect and wasn't sure how awkward it could potentially be. I'm so happy he came, it would have been painfully awkward to do myself. We left for Newburg early so we could get some skating in. When we arrived at the skate park i forgot that you had to wear a helmet no matter what age you are so we had to turn around search for something fun in the town. We skated for a while hit up Subway and the dollar store to buy/make Jon a present and card. (Link to David's Flickr more pictures from this day) We got to the before party at his girlfriends house, which I found out he had one, Jon's family was there and a lot of people we didn't know, this is were I was so happy David was with me. We had some beer-chili and small conversations.
Afterwards we headed to the church, Which for some reason I didn't think about it being a Easter service. I kind of forgot how catholic services went, Jon's mom jokingly turned and looked at us several time and said "wake up" which surprisingly wasn't a problem more than once. The worst part about it was that David and I were pretty giggly through out. Through out the service, If you've ever been to a catholic service, everyone will say certain things in unison so David and I tried to tag along and trying to figure out what they are saying and finishing off in unison. David caught me off guard and got me real good he said it so loud and didn't even really way what they said. I couldn't hold it in I busted out laughing everso quietly right before a prayer. I couldn't stop i kept holding my breath but it kept coming back. He started rubbing my back as if i was crying and he was consoling me, that didn't help at all.
Anyways Jon was confirmed which was an exciting thing to watch and afterward they had a cake for the revrends birthday. we said congrats good-bye and headed back home. it was a fun night.
